- Comb through damp or dry hair, apply the balm, distributing evenly from roots to ends. For extra definition, generously apply the balm to sectioned hair, twirling each curl with your fingers. Allow hair to air dry or diffuse to add extra volume and definition. The balm can also be applied to hair for additional moisture when refreshing curls with Curlicue Curl Activator.
